I can not distinguish
between the smoke
that rises from my eyes
as I sit on the stool at my kitchen
island
(yep, I've resolved back to smoking in the house)
vs the steam
that rises from my dishwasher
across the room

And I listen...
to Flashback Friday
on the radio...

A DAZE

I flashback to my own High School days

It's hard not to...
when one walks throug High School hallways each day...
seeing the young,
gathering at lockers,
rushing to classes,
holding hands,
laughing,
dancing,
wearing funky t-shirts...

Remembering when...
...and ready to give anything for just ONE week back to...
a party here,
a prom there,
a pep rally,
a run from the law,
a great teacher,
a crush...

I am not Clueless in any way...
...but Always an Inquisitve Idiot...
