So today was STRANGE
and to relive the last part...first...

I soaked in the tub
Trying to thaw myself out
Watching the steam curl into
Question Marks
about my life

...after my girlfriend called to apologize for blasting me on the phone earlier this morning

...after I called all my friends to get together for tomorrow night's concert in the park

...after I puposely stay away from the Internet

...after I consume a bottle of white...yes white...I am trying something different

...after I went over to my tutoring gig
for the last night of BIG Projects
tonight DAD was on a business trip
MOM was back home from Seattle
( I am propped up on the couch in my new "Sleepless in Seattle" night shirt gift!)

...after I attended a track meet in the rain
cold
with sandals on my feet
only to have my perfectly ironed hair
curl up like Gilda Radner (bless her soul)
(cursed hair...damn it!)

....after I performed as a judge at the
CHEF FOODS competition after school
(YUMMY)

....after I had an absolutly wonderful day at work
kids were fantastic and this is where I was able to turn my cheeks up for a few smiles
(whew)

...after I mailed the bills

....after I called my girlfriend to get an earful of
"Be Careful on the Internet"
"Stop being Stupid"
"Don't use my software in e-mail again!"

I AM AMAZED at how DEFLATED I feel
Like a day old HELIUM BALLOON

No Road Map can get me back on the path...or can it???

You can see only as far as your headlights, but you can make the whole trip that way.
