24 Days of WORK until SUMMER VACATION

7 Classes per Day
...or
7 Hours per Day

Until Bliss...
Don't get me wrong, my work is so wonderful at times that I can not believe that I get paid for it...

But just the thought of
SUMMER....

Waking without an alarm to the tune of finches and cardinals at my window

Slipping on a swimsuit and suntan oil

Shuffling downstairs with time for a FULL pot of coffee and a few cigarettes

The newspaper

A call to a few freinds

Sauterning outside with a great book and a towel

Turning on some tunes

Showering around 2 or 3

Dr. Phil or an iControl movie in air conditioning

Firing up the grill

Cocktails

More cocktails

Fireflies

Campfire

Leno...
or another iControl
or late night HBO

Sleep

REPEAT

...for 10 entire weeks...

Love this profession!!!!
Love the kids...
But I did need to use my "Policeman Voice" with the 11th graders today
I warned them
and a kid whispered...
"I knew she used to be a cop...I just knew it! She's probably saved the uniform!"

And I thought to myself...
Ha...I saved that for special occasions!

Time is on my side....
...if only that was all that MATTERED.


Up in bed Blogging...the scent of teens spirit is seeping out into my hallway...

Took 17 shopping for socks and undershirts tonight...got myself some new silver rings...do ya think a former COP wears a thumb ring???
Might look like brass knuckles...that will really freak them out!
