Ring Of Fire-Johnny Cash

I AM COMPLETE....

So Yesterday
At Summerfest...
I finally finished my quest that has lasted for 7 months
Yes...A 7 month quest
for Very Cheap jewelry!!!

Last summer
to the very day
I purchased these rings...2 of them
one very thin...one fairly thick
Hematite

I wore them doubled up on the middle finger of my left hand
They are supposed to bring out this AMBIANCE...an ESSENCE of self...Fiery DESIRE
A "presence" of your being
(They were 2 for $5)
...Sure.... Right
But I loved them cuz they were cool and "different"
Not some big gaudy diamond or what not...

The very next week
I was attending Bastille Days
a French festival on the East Side
a 5K...food...drinks...shopping...art....

I bumped into a guy from my past
.. he warns me...that "THEY BREAK VERY EASILY...BE CAREFULL!!!!"

Months later at my High School reunion
The rings do BREAK as warned about...slamming my hand on a bar in laughter...into tiny pieces
( I tend to use my hands when talking....laughing)

I have never found these rings again...haven't been able to purchase them anywhere
but last night...I found my Summerfest Kiosk...and bought 8 of them...
...enough to compensate for the breakage factor...
In 24 hours I have broke 2 of the 8...
One flying off of my hand the very same night...onto the concrete
The other tonight on my glass patio table...

I hope this is not an OMEN...

Really...the rest of the evening was quite beautiful
Except for the fact that I am quite upset with H
(He let 17 take the car again...after an upsetting arguement that is ruled "non car consequential"

But even with that...
We all sat at a bonfire
As fireworks well worth watching
Filled the sky
From some other 17's home a few blocks away
With the backdrop of my home
on a cool July evening...
Very close to
MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY!!!

EVEN WITH MY TRAUMA...
I think the rings are working in my favor.

As I BLOG...I think I am getting that creepy ear infection that I had last January
17 is 10 minutes late home...
I am feeling ill
Not only the whole EAR thing...but an awful sore throat as well
